In a press conference held at the Chandigarh Press Club, Shruti Gambhir passionately shared her mission to raise awareness about naturopathy and the pivotal role of alternative medicine in promoting holistic healing. With a firm belief in the power of nature’s remedies, Gambhir advocates for a medicine-free approach, focusing on addressing the root causes of diseases through natural therapies and dietary adjustments.
She emphasized that naturopathy revolves around harnessing the healing potential of food and natural treatments. As a seasoned practitioner, she tailors her recommendations to suit individual needs, taking into account factors like age, physical condition, and the specific ailments of her patients.
Making Way for Wellness
The young founder of Aarogya Dhara Naturopathy Health & Wellness Center (ADNH & WC), showcased a detailed presentation on naturopathy and its different facets to make the media aware of the unique treatment system. She also announced the opening of their new centre in Panchkula.
It is noteworthy that Shruti Gambhir is an expert in chronic, diabetic, and lifestyle diseases. In addition, she is also a Yoga Instructor, Sujok and Acupressure Therapist, and Reiki Healer. She said that Ayurveda and Naturopathy are quite similar. The only difference is that naturopathy also includes mud therapy and hydrotherapy for treatment. No medicine is given in naturopathy, rather food is considered as medicine. There is no side effect or risk due to the absence of medicines.
Shruti Gambhir said that all treatments in naturopathy are based on the ideal balance of the Panchatatva i.e. air, water, fire, earth, and sky, which improves digestion, blood circulation, hormonal balance, and nervous system functioning. In Ayurveda, medicines are made from herbs and plants, but in naturopathy, fresh herbs or juices are included in the diet. Lifestyle changes are also suggested. In this, the root cause of each disease is discovered and treated. Also, it detoxifies the entire body which not only cures any disease but also improves overall health.
A Self-Healing System
Naturopathy activates the body’s self-healing system, as the body has an innate ability to heal itself. This healing process is improved by a balanced diet and detoxification so that a disease can be cured from the root. The concept of “food is medicine” applies in naturopathy. Whatever we eat has a direct effect on our mind and body. Therefore, treatment of every disease is possible by taking a proper diet and avoiding certain things. A sattvic diet boosts the body’s immunity, which helps fight infection and heal the body.
“We focus on healing the root cause of the disease. Chronic diseases can also be cured in 3 to 6 months by naturopathy. Even diseases that are 20-30 years old can be fixed within a few weeks with lifestyle changes, a balanced diet, and natural remedies,” Shruti concluded.
