Under the banner of the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), Punjab De Sher has unveiled its team jersey ahead of the league’s commencement on February 23 in Sharjah, UAE. The team, led by owner Puneet Singh and co-owner-cum-player Navraj Hans, celebrated the occasion alongside other team members including Binu Dhillon, Aparshakti Khurana, Dev Kharoud, Dakssh Ajit Singh, Rahul Jaitley, Mayur Mehta, Babbal Rai, Suyyash Rai, Manmeet Singh, Gavie Chahal, Ninja, Viral Patel, and Sahil Anand.

This marks the league’s tenth edition, with a larger format spanning across Sharjah and India. Addressing the press at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Puneet Singh revealed the participation of 200 cine stars representing all eight film industries of the nation. The league, culminating in the final on March 17, promises stiff competition, with Punjab De Sher geared up to challenge other teams after honing their skills in recent exhibition matches.

Divided into two groups, the team’s journey begins with a face-off against Chennai Rhinos in Sharjah on February 25, followed by matches against Telugu Warriors in Hyderabad on March 1, and Bengal Tigers in Chandigarh on March 8. Subsequent encounters include clashes with Bengal Tigers and Mumbai Heroes on March 9. Sonu Sood leads the team.

The CCL, initially launched from Visakhapatnam in 2011, witnessed an expansion in 2014 with the inclusion of cricketing legends like Sachin Tendulkar and the establishment of eight teams. In 2019, the league introduced a T10 format, later modified to four innings of ten overs each. With an expanded digital presence in 2023, CCL aims to captivate the hearts of three billion people worldwide.
