The Punjab Right to Service Act, 2011 (as applicable to UT Chandigarh) has recently been notified and implemented in Chandigarh, for proper delivery and timely services to the citizens of Chandigarh.
In order to further spread awareness and ensure smooth implementation of this very important Law, a book on this act along with the rules and a list of notified services, compiled by Ajay Jagga, Advocate, Additional Standing Counsel, UT was recently released by the Member Secretary of the Chandigarh Right to Service Commission, Mr Rajiv Tewari.
The book is titled “The Punjab Right to Service Act, 2011 (as applicable to Chandigarh) with Chandigarh Right to Service Rules and List of 436 Notified Services, Statutory time limits. Authorities and Appellate Authorities, dated 8 March 2022 and Notifications”
It aims to help all the stakeholders in further improving the efficiency in the delivery of services and guide the citizens in getting services, as promised by the Administration. A copy of the book will soon be given to all the Heads of the Departments of U.T. Chandigarh.
Mr Jagga, also thanked the Adviser to Administrator Sh. Dharam Pal, IAS, Sh. K.K.
