Koni Aloo Pitika (Mashed Eggs & Potatoes)


3 boiled potatoes (with skin)

4 boiled whole eggs

2 medium-size tomatoes

3 green chillies & 2 garlic cloves

1 medium-size onion

1 tbsp mustard oil

Salt to taste

Step 1

Take a medium-size bowl, put the cut vegetables – chopped onion, tomatoes in diced in small cubes, chopped green chillies and garlic.

Add the boiled whole eggs, mashed it, and mix it well with the vegetables.

Step 2

In a separate bowl, removed the skin of the potatoes and mashed it coarsely. Now add it to the main bowl with vegetables and eggs.

Step 3

Add the mustard oil with a little salt to taste. Mashed the ingredients properly to make sure there is no lump from the potatoes remain.

Serve your mashed potatoes & eggs as a side during your lunch or dinner. The dish is common in all Assamese household.
