Home Style Prawns Curry

Step 1
Marinate 200 gms cleaned, deveined Prawns with 4 tbsp of coconut milk and 1 tbsp black pepper powder.

Make onion (1 large onion), tomato (1 large tomato), ginger garlic paste, tamarind paste, and curry leaves (1 sprig) paste for the curry.

For the curry, you will need potatoes (2 medium sizes with quarter cut) with 1 tbsp kitchen king masala and 1 tsp turmeric powder.

Step 2

Heat a wok with 2 tbsp mustard oil or any cooking oil you like.

Put the paste and the spices mentioned above along with the potatoes. Fry in high heat for 2-3 minutes. Add little water and let it cook on medium-low flame till the oil separates from the spices. It will take 5 minutes.

Add the marinated Prawns, mix them well and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes on medium-low flame by closing the wok with a lid.

Step 3

Open the lid, and give it a good stir. Now add 1 cup water with some salt as per your taste, and let it cook for another 6-7 minutes on medium-low flame. Add 4-5 curry leaves for the aroma and close the lid.

Serve your home-style Prawns curry with some steamed rice and enjoy.
