Ingredients
- 450 gms of Basa Fillet
- 1 cup plain buttermilk
- 3 stalks coriander
- 2 green chillies
- ½ inch ginger
- 2 cloves garlic
- 3-4 slices lime
- 3-4 slices tomatoes
- 3 broccoli florets (optional)
- Aluminium foil as required
Step 1
To marinate the Basa fillet, take a grinder to add 1 cup of plain buttermilk, 3 stalks of coriander, 2 green chillies, ½ inch ginger and add salt to taste. Grind the ingredients well with the buttermilk.
Now pour the aromatic herby buttermilk to the bowl containing Basa fillet and allow it to soak for 60 minutes. This process will make the Basa fillet tender and flavourful.
Step 2
Take the baking tray, cover it with aluminium foil, and place the Basa fillet over it. Brush some remaining marinated juice over it.
Place 3-4 slices tomatoes, 3-4 slices of lime, and 3 broccoli florets. Put 2 cloves of finely chopped garlic over the fillet and close the baking tray with the aluminium foil slowly.
Now pre-heat the oven at 200 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes.
Step 3
Put the baking tray with Basa fillet onto the oven and allow it to bake for 35 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
Allow the baked fillet to cool down for 5 minutes.
Slowly place the baked fillet with veggies into the serving tray with the help of a spatula. Now enjoy the Baked goodness of Basa Fillet with your family.
Note – Discard the excess juice released by the fillet from the baking tray.
