AIESEC Chandigarh is organising the biggest event of the tricity “Global Goals Run”, a two-day virtual event on 16 & 17 October, 2020. Tricity Scoop has partnered with AIESEC and is the media partner of the event.
This event is being organized in order to spread awareness and educate people of India about the 17 Sustainable Development Goals laid down by the United Nations to which AIESEC is the Global Youth Partner.
There are multiple categories for different types of participants. For marathon the categories are 4 km, 7 km and 10 km. For cyclothon the categories are 10 km, 20 km and 30 km. Participants will be required to record their run through mobile apps like Strava, Nike Run Club, Pumatrac and submit it in a form and the winners will be declared accordingly.
This is an open-for-all event, which means people from any place and any age group can participate in the category which suits them the most. The winners shall be rewarded with gift hampers worth up to Rs 10,000, cash prize, depending upon the number of registrations, medals and T-shirts and e-certificates from United Nations recognised organization, for every participant.
Registration fee for participating in one event will be Rs 250 and Rs 400 for marathon and cyclothon respectively.
