If you have been born or brought-up in Tricity, we are sure that you remember these magnificent theatres that once used to be the go-to destination for all cinema lovers. Whether it was the first movie outing with your better-half or the super-fun movie sprees with your friends, these theatres hold a treasure of memories for everyone alike.

So, without any further ado, we take you on a trip down the memory lane through these cinema theatres!

Neelam Cinema: The iconic Neelam Cinema was built in Sector-17, Chandigarh, shortly after India gained independence. The theatre was designed by architect Aditya Prakash under the proficient guidance of Le Corbusier and his cousin Pierre Jeanneret. Its modernist structure still stands tall in the heart of Sector-17, Chandigarh.


KC Cinema: One of the oldest cinema theatres of Chandigarh with its trademark dome shape, KC Cinema continues to hold a special place in the hearts of the residents of Tricity.

Jagat Cinema: Now known as Cinépolis Jagat, Jagat Cinema is one of those few cinema theatres in Tricity who are able to maintain their sheen despite the old façade.

Kiran Cinema: Almost as old as Chandigarh, Kiran Cinema has been renowned for its imaginative design since times immemorial.
