My brother Siddharth and I share a very different type of relationship. He is my business partner and at times, we get so stuck up in work that we completely forget to cherish the bond that we have. We have planned to take a day off this Raksha Bandhan and spend it solely with our family members. We have been working very hard for the last couple of weeks to get work on track so that we can afford to take a complete day off.

Most memorable Raksha Bandhan?

Every day is a Raksha Bandhan day for us because we love each other, protect each other, uplift each other and there is that immense bond we share, which words can’t suffice. But the most memorable Raksha Bandhan was when we were very young….we used to tease him for gifts. Since he is my younger brother, he requested our parents to source him some money for the gifts. Though the gifts remained the same every year, probably a handmade card, with some Camel colours and sketch pens. Remembering this makes me so nostalgic!

My sister Heena Garg, soul sister (Garima Khatri) and I (Jaffy Garg), are celebrating Raksha Bandhan to evoke pleasant memories of the cherished childhood bonding and the eternal love shared between us. Therefore, we are taking a day off and dedicating this day exclusively to each other. We’ll play board games, antakshari and all those indoor games that had made us laugh non-stop. Spending quality time together and letting each other know that we have their company during such challenging times is the key.
